Learn new skills, make new friends, create music and have loads of great fun at Rushmoor's new samba band weekly workshops with Gavin from Readipop.
We are inviting everyone from the local community to come along to our sessions and take part in an introduction to samba drumming. Absolutely no experience is necessary – it’s all about having fun!
Samba drumming mixes African, Asian and Latin-American rhythms to create energetic, upbeat carnival-style music. After just one session, you will creating amazing music!
Dates and location
Readipop are holding weekly sessions every Wednesday from 1 May to 19 June. The sessions are from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The workshops take place at Southwood Country Park Café and Field Centre, Ively Rd, Farnborough, GU14 0LJ.
The band has also been invited to perform at Victoria Day on Saturday 8 June and Aldershot's Armed Forces Day Prom in the Park on Saturday 22 June.
Cost and booking
We are helping to subsidise the workshops and for all 8 sessions the total cost is £40.
Book your place at the Rushmoor Samba Band workshopsAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. You must reserve a space for each person coming along.
