A dedicated community group committed to keeping Rushmoor clean through regular litter picks, is taking on the ambitious challenge of carrying out 13 litter picks over the coming weeks, with the first two events taking place this weekend.
The Rushmoor Binfluencers group, a passionate team of volunteers, will cover each of the 13 wards in Rushmoor, as part of the 2025 Great British Spring Clean, which runs from 21 March to 6 April.
The first two events will take place at Aldershot Park this Saturday, 22 March, from 10am to 11am, meeting at Shalden Road, and at Manor Park this Sunday, 23 March, at 11am to midday, meeting outside the Garden Gate pub.
As many local people as possible are invited to join the group at one of the sessions to make a real difference to the community.
Rushmoor Borough Council's Cabinet Champion for Pride in Place, Councillor Lisa Greenway, said: “Just one hour of your time may have a lasting impact and help build a stronger sense of pride in place, creating a cleaner and more sustainable environment for everyone.”
