The first multi-agency meeting to address the ongoing challenges of antisocial behaviour in Aldershot and Farnborough town centres took place recently. This important discussion brought together representatives from a range of agencies and services, all committed to creating safer, more welcoming spaces for our residents, businesses, and visitors.
The Strategic Partnership Action Group meeting, at the Princes Hall, in Aldershot, brought together a number of agencies, including elected councillors and staff from Rushmoor Borough Council, Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Probation Service, the local MP’s office, local health and NHS partners and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, to examine antisocial behaviour in our town centres and the negative perceptions it creates.
It provided a valuable opportunity to share insights, explore key issues, and begin shaping a long-term, collaborative approach which not only tackles antisocial behaviour but also addresses the root causes behind it. By working together, agencies can make sure interventions are effective, evidence-based, and focused on improving the wellbeing of the entire community.
All those involved look forward to building on this momentum at the next meeting and continuing to work in partnership to implement meaningful solutions that will have a lasting positive impact on our town centres.
The meeting was an important step towards driving real change for the benefit of all who live and work in the borough.
