We have been informed that as of 2 April, Active Nation UK Limited have ceased operation of the Alpine Snowsports Centre.
As a result of this, the centre will be closed for the foreseeable future while the council awaits further news from Active Nation regarding their plans. We then need to spend some time assessing the options for the future of the facility.
Active Nation, a wellbeing charity, operates the snowsports centre in Gallwey Road on behalf of the council for many years, and a number of other facilities around the country.
Information for customers
Customers who have bookings or centre memberships are asked to wait for an update, which will be provided as soon as we have heard more from Active Nation.
We appreciate that a number of events are planned to take place over the Easter school holidays. Customers should consider all events at the centre cancelled until further notice.
