Our Council Plan sets out what we will be doing in the next three years to meet the needs of local people, businesses and visitors to the area.
New priorities – to help us deliver change
Our cabinet has recently agreed to a new set of five priority themes for Aldershot and Farnborough. Please see our priorities page for more information.
We want to engage more widely with you next year so we can develop a shared vision for the council and our area and a new council plan to deliver that vision.
Our new council plan will be in place for 2026, and from April 2025 we will be monitoring our 2025/26 delivery plan priorities.
In the meantime, we are still working to the plans and performance monitoring of the documents below.
Council Plan 2023-26
We provide a wide range of services, many of which are a part of the normal day-to-day life and business activity that we do at the council.
Our council plan outlines the council’s priorities over the next three years, instead of providing details of all our services. It also describes the key strategic projects that will contribute to achieving our vision. Our vision is set out in our Your Future, Your Place – A vision for Aldershot and Farnborough 2030 page.
We update the council plan every year and this gives us a focus for our activities and services by setting out the short to medium-term steps needed to realise our longer-term vision and aspirations.
While it sets out an ambitious programme of key activities, underpinning this plan are a number of individual service plans which include more detailed information on the activities and work of individual teams and the day-to-day services we offer.
Our Council Plan 2023 to 2026 was approved at Council on 6 July 2023.
